Beginner Track: Development Opportunities in M365 and Tools (Level 100), Thomas Poett, MVP, Trans4mation Swiss
In this session we will demonstrate possibilities in Microsoft 365 for developers. Which approaches for development exist and where do I get started, e.g. why do I need MS Graphs? We clarify the question where is possible in Microsoft 365 development. Which tools can I use to develop, such as Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code, but also other online development options such as Power Apps. The goal of the track is to show you the entry into the world of customizing the Microsoft Cloud and to find a way to develop in this area.

10: 00-12: 00:
Advanced Track: Practical workshop: Deep Dive in Office development with serverless developer technologies such as Azure Functions (Level 300), Philipp Bauknecht, MVP, medialesson
We’ll look together to see how lightweight cloud applications can be combined with Office 365, creating cross-device and event-driven experiences.

lunch

13: 00–16: 00:
Beginner Track: Development with Flows for Newbies (Level 200), Thomas Poett, MVP, Trans4mation Swiss
We deal with Microsoft Flows. Flows is an object-oriented “If-Then-Else” engine that enables the control of conditional automation. We focus on the “non-coding” side within the Microsoft Cloud. To get into one of the important disciplines of cloud services, this is an opportunity to develop continuously. Following this track, you are fit to create your own workflows and know how they are developed.

1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m .:
Advanced Track: Teams App Development Lab (Level 300), Tobias Urban, Microsoft Germany
In this workshop, we go into detail about team development. The possible integration areas (tabs, bots, message extensions, connectors) and relevant technologies (MS Graph, Azure Active Directory) are first explained from a developer perspective and then coded in a lab. The aim of the workshop is to give the participants a good start in independent team development and to present a first code example.

4:00 pm – 4:30 pm: Closing and feedback round
I was part of the organizing team and assisted Philipp Bauknecht, Microsoft RD, and MVP in his serverless workshop.
